Castle floodlighting installed funded by Crown Estate £6K and conservation assistance from Historic Scotland. Considerable volunteer commitment over a sustained period

Kintyre Way opened officially at the newly accessible Tarbert Castle

Tarbert Castle secured for the community and volunteer organisation Tarbert Conservation Initiative formed. This led to a major project for which a separate record was maintained showing progress, and an expenditure of £1M by 2013 with numerous supporting organisations FCS, Historic Scotland, Leader program and SRDP.  The Trust borrowed £100K (now repaid) from local community to achieve cash flow on £3/4M SRDP funding of Tower House consolidation on a 4 year rolling contract

These projects had considerable volunteer commitment.

Community development plan for Skipness. Proposals developed to prepare a plan but abandoned due to local opposition to any change.

Youth premises discussions commenced and proposal made for two locations but property purchase attempts unsuccessful. However this initial work led to the eventual proposal to incorporate new youth facilities in village hall subsequently achieved in 2009 at cost of £700K for whole project

Steering Group formed after public meeting and Trust established as Company Limited by Guarantee and registered as Co No 233786 Charity No SC 0333791. Web presence, information leaflets and exhibition boards organised with £10 K Awards for All grant.
